Xiaomi appears to be serious about bringing AI features to its flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14.
After several smartphone manufacturers began introducing artificial intelligence (AI) features to their released phones, such as Samsung with Galaxy AI in its flagship lineup and Google with Gemini AI feature in Google Pixel phones, now Xiaomi will be integrating AI features into its flagship phones.
According to a report from Gizmochina, as quoted by Gadgets360 on Tuesday (4/23/2024), the Chinese company is reported to have been testing AI features for the Xiaomi 14 lineup, including the regular Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The Gizmochina report also revealed that the tested feature is named “AI Treasure Chest.”
This AI feature is described as a collection of hundreds of AI features designed to enhance the user experience of the Xiaomi 14 series. The claimed AI lineup reportedly includes features such as “AI Surprise Wallpaper,” which can create wallpapers with the help of AI.
Reportedly, internal testing conducted by Xiaomi took place between April 18 and August 2. With the AI features currently being developed, Xiaomi aims to provide AI solutions for Xiaomi 14 users by integrating AI features that can be used to aid productivity.

Not only developing AI, Xiaomi is also reported to be releasing their latest foldable phone, the Xiaomi Mix Flip.
The introduction of this foldable phone is said to be Xiaomi’s move to compete in the foldable phone category. As is known, several Android phone brands have started to release many foldable phones. As quoted from Android Authority, information about this foldable phone is known from the code found in HyperOS.
It is mentioned that in the latest Xiaomi UI, there are several specifications suspected to be related to a device with the codename Ruyi.
Ruyi is believed to be the codename for Xiaomi Mix Flip. Based on the source code found, this Xiaomi foldable phone is said to feature a 50MP main camera Omnivision OVX 8000 with a 1/1.55-inch sensor size.
There is also a 60MP telephoto camera using the Omnivision OV60A sensor with a size of 1/2.61-inch. For the front camera, this foldable phone has a 32MP sensor.

There is still no further information regarding the availability of an ultrawide camera on this phone. From the circulating specifications, there is a possibility that Xiaomi Mix Flip is aimed to compete with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in terms of photography, especially zoom capability.
The reason is, from several leaks, Samsung is estimated not to bring a telephoto camera to their foldable smartphones.
