Brand under Transsion Holdings, Infinix, is rumored to be releasing a foldable phone called the Zero Flip. As reported by Androidheadlines.com, the Infinix Zero Flip has obtained EEC certification with model number X6962.
This model marks Infinix’s first venture into the foldable smartphone market. Unfortunately, there is no further information available regarding the price and specifications of this foldable smartphone.
Nonetheless, amidst the competitive foldable phone market dominated by major players like Samsung with the Z Fold and Z Flip series, Infinix is expected to introduce a foldable phone with a more budget-friendly price.
While foldable phone series garner much interest, the relatively high prices deter consumers from making purchases. Therefore, Infinix, known for its affordable products, is anticipated to offer a more accessible price point.
As stated by GizChina on Monday (8/4), the arrival of Infinix’s foldable phone has the potential to disrupt the market and break the exclusivity of foldable screen technology to a wider user base.
However, with affordability being the main value proposition, user expectations regarding processor performance, camera quality, screen specifications, and other features need to be moderated.
It’s worth noting that the Infinix Zero Flip is not Transsion Holdings’ first foray into the foldable phone market. Another brand under this group, Tecno, has previously launched the Tecno Phantom Series foldable phones.
These foldable smartphone series were introduced at more affordable prices compared to their competitors. One of the Tecno Phantom Series phones released in Indonesia is the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G, priced around Rp 8 million.
This price point contrasts with competitors like Samsung, whose Z Fold series reaches prices of Rp 20 million and Z Flip series priced in the teens. Therefore, it’s no surprise that many speculate Infinix will follow Tecno’s footsteps in releasing foldable phone products.

On the other hand, users must wait for the offerings brought by the Zero Flip. According to reports from Androidheadlines.com, the Infinix Zero Flip will be introduced soon.
However, there is no official information yet regarding the specific release timing of this foldable phone. Therefore, regardless of all the circulating rumors, waiting for the official announcement from the company is the wisest course of action.
