Jakarta, July 2, 2024 — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG), a global technology leader providing the world’s most intuitive gaming devices and components, today officially launched a special product line called the Back to Future (BTF) PC ecosystem. Through this product range, ASUS aims to introduce an innovative, easy, and clean cable-free PC assembly approach.
The ASUS BTF component ecosystem offers a PC assembly approach that allows users to hide all cables connected directly to the motherboard, such as power supply cables to the motherboard, 2.5-inch SATA drive connectors, case fan connectors, and front panel button and I/O port connectors. The BTF motherboard is also equipped with a high-power graphics card slot that provides all the power needed for the BTF graphics card.
This Back to Future device lineup includes ROG & TUF PC components such as motherboards (ROG Maximus Z790 Hero Back to Future & TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi), graphics cards (ROG Strix GeForce RTX™ 4090 BTF Edition & TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 4070 Ti SUPER BTF White Edition), and chassis (ROG Hyperion GR701 Back to Future Edition & TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB). Additionally, ASUS has partnered with several major names in the PC case industry to create the BTF Alliance. Through this partnership, users have a wide range of PC cases that are fully compatible with ASUS BTF motherboards.
“ASUS aims to provide a new experience for users by hiding connectors at the bottom of the motherboard, allowing for easier cable management, a cleaner look, and a more aesthetic and minimalist PC appearance,” said ASUS OPBG Business Development Manager / Country Leader, Kris Ardianto. “We believe the BTF ecosystem can offer a new and fresh approach in the DIY PC landscape.”
Not only offering a clean and minimalist look, ASUS’s BTF ecosystem components also offer a range of advanced features, such as PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and dual Thunderbolt™ 4 connectors on ROG motherboards, as well as premium heatsinks and 20 Gbps USB Type-C ports on TUF motherboards. Both ROG and TUF BTF Edition graphics cards come equipped with Graphics Card High-Power (GC-HPWR) Gold Finger, a connector capable of delivering up to 600W of power, eliminating the usual visible external power connectors for a cleaner appearance. This design also adds structural support, prevents graphics card sagging, and ensures a sleek and efficient setup.
Outside the BTF ecosystem, ASUS ROG has also officially introduced the latest variant of its Keris series mouse called the ROG Keris II Ace. This ultra-lightweight ergonomic gaming mouse weighs 54 grams and has been tested by pro FPS players. Featuring Tri-mode connectivity that offers connection flexibility (via Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz dongle, or cable), ROG Omni receiver, and ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, the Keris II Ace can further enhance gaming performance with the ROG Polling Rate Booster, supporting polling rates up to 4,000 Hz in wireless mode and up to 8,000 Hz in wired mode.
The special BTF Edition motherboard and graphics card components are sold in bundles with limited quantities in Indonesia, starting at 20 million IDR for the TUF series and 50 million IDR for the ROG series. Meanwhile, the ROG Keris II Ace is available starting at 1.8 million IDR. The special BTF Edition chassis is priced starting at 2 million IDR for TUF and 7 million IDR for ROG. PC enthusiasts can place their orders starting from July 2, 2024. These special components will also be available and can be purchased soon through ROG Flagship Stores or selected ASUS ROG partners.
